Vest and Stop Sign for Samuelson
These days, faculty and staff of Samuelson Elementary are sporting a new look! LBNA vice president Janet Herrold and the LBNA recently donated 6 orange crossing guard vests and 6 hand-held stop signs to be used by Samuelson personnel as kids are being picked up each afternoon. The new equipment was purchased in response to concerns expressed by school staff and neighborhood residents about the safety of kids and staff in the midst of the traffic congestion when the school dismisses. Of course, parents and others in the area of both Samuelson Elementary and Woodlawn Education Center are also encouraged to be extra mindful of school traffic, particularly during times when kids are arriving for or dismissing from school.
